New Jersey State and Federal Rebates and Tax Benefits
 
New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program currently rebates $3.80 per watt for Solar Electric systems sized up to 10 kilowatts for residential and commercial systems. Businesses, in addition to receiving the New Jersey State Rebate are eligible to receive federal tax benefits such as 30% tax investment credit and accelerated depreciation benefits. New Jersey residential customers are also eligible to receive a $2000 federal tax credit. Solar owners in New Jersey are also able to sell their pollution credits (SREC’s), and are able to generate significant income from doing so.
